We just had our third baptism since our coming to Borne. This was a big one! We almost had nine people get baptized, but two will wait until next year.
This time pastor Tomek did the dunking. We still brought in a guest speaker to give the sermon. Its nice to have visitors and guest speakers for special occasions like this one!
As you can see, we are out in the open. The people getting baptized make an extremely public declaration. Some of the crowd are from the church, while others are family. But, some of them are just people passing by who have stopped to see what is happening. They all heard the Gospel. Some of the people getting baptized have angry family members. Getting baptized is a huge commitment to stand for Christ. To some people, when a family member gets baptized it is considered a direct attack on the family. Pray for them as they deal with problems that this simple act of love and obedience causes.
